How PayPal Works
Here's what happens when you shop on my website:
- You select the quantity of reeds and/or cane you'd like, and click my "Add to Cart" button.
- A new window will open up. You'll notice this page has an address that starts with "https://www.paypal.com". You have at this point navigated away from the Colorado Reed Company's website, and your shopping cart contents are stored on PayPal's secure servers.
- If you choose "Continue Shopping", you will be taken back to the Colorado Reed Company website to do so.
- If you choose "Checkout", you will continue the payment process on PayPal's secure servers.
- You may pay through PayPal in several ways.
- You can use your PayPal account if you have one, but I do not require that you have one to shop on my site.
- You can use your credit or debit card.
- You can use what's called an eCheck. If you do not have a PayPal account, or you don't have a credit card associated with your Paypal account, PayPal will debit the amount of your purchase from your bank account, as an electronic check. This type of purchase can take several days to clear, so please consider that if you need your reeds in a hurry!
- All of this means that I do not see any of your sensitive financial information - this is much safer for me, and for you, as PayPal has been processing payments for many years now and they have many safeguards in place to keep your information confidential.
I have been using PayPal with confidence since 2002, and have never had a problem. For additional information on their policies and safeguards, please visit their website, http://www.paypal.com.
