About Me
I have about 20 years of experience making oboe reeds, and it's something I enjoy tremendously. I have a Master of Music in Oboe from the University of Northern Colorado, where I studied with Peter Cooper. Since 2004, I have been an active freelance musician and teacher here in Colorado.
My reeds have a pleasant tone that is neither too dark nor too bright, with a good response and stable pitch. I tie them on the best cane available to me, always on a silver staple with natural cork. English Horn reeds are tied on a high quality brass staple, because I like the tone of brass rather than silver for English Horn.
